Barista Duties: • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and smoothies, according to established recipes and quality standards. • Operate and maintain coffee brewing equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers. • Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages by adhering to proper brewing techniques and portion control. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bar area and equipment. • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed. • Create and present latte art (if applicable/desired). • Stay up-to-date on new coffee trends and recipes. • Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor. • Upsell and cross-sell products to enhance the customer experience. • Be a cashier as necessary. General Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive atmosphere for all guests. • Work effectively as part of a team. • Follow all health and safety regulations. • Assist with other cafe duties as needed, such as cleaning, restocking, and preparing food items. Qualifications: • Previous experience as a barista and/or cashier in a cafe or restaurant setting preferred. • Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks1 simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Basic math skills2 and experience with POS systems. • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [Specify Weight] pounds. • Food handler's certification (if required by local regulations). • Friendly and positive attitude. • Reliable and punctual.
