Procurement Officer

1. Job Summary The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing equipment, materials, and services required for network operations, infrastructure deployment, and day-to-day company needs. The role ensures timely availability of stock, cost efficiency, compliance with procurement policies, and coordination with technical teams to support smooth ISP operations. 2. Duties and Responsibilities A. Procurement Operations 1. Initiate purchase requests for network equipment, fiber materials, tools, and office supplies. 2. Review requisitions from the Technical, NOC, IT, and Field Operations teams to ensure completeness, accuracy, and correct specifications. 3. Conduct market research to identify qualified suppliers, compare pricing, evaluate quality, and analyze cost-saving opportunities. 4. Request quotations from at least three approved suppliers and prepare comparison sheets for management approval. 5. Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors and ensure adherence to company procurement policies. 6. Prepare purchase orders (PO) and follow through all stages until delivery and payment completion. 7. Maintain vendor database, including pricing, performance history, and product catalogs for ISP-related equipment. 8. Evaluate supplier reliability, delivery performance, and product quality 9. Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers both locally and internationally. B. Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Coordination 10. Coordinate shipping, customs clearance (if applicable), and logistics arrangements for imported telecom equipment. 11. Receive and inspect delivered goods, quality, and quantity match purchase orders. 12. Work with the warehouse team to update stock 13. Work closely with: • Technical/Engineering team for material specs and hardware • Finance for payment and budget checks • Warehouse for inventory updates 14. Perform other duties assigned by management. 3. Qualifications Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. • 2–3 years of procurement experience in telecom, ISP, ICT. • Experience purchasing network equipment, fiber materials, and technical supplies is a strong advantage. Skills: • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Understanding of ISP/telecom equipment and specifications
