Key Responsibilities I. Service Excellence & Guest Relations • The Welcome: Ensure all guests receive a warm upon arrival. • Table Management: Oversee table rotations and reservations to maximize seating capacity. • Complaint Handling: Act as the first point of contact for guest issues, using the L.A.S.T. (Listen, Apologize, Solve, Thank) method to resolve conflicts before they escalate. • Upselling: Lead by example in suggestive selling and train staff to increase the average check size. II. Operational Management • Staff Scheduling: Create and manage weekly duty rosters, ensuring adequate coverage for peak hours and public holidays. • Mise-en-Place: Supervise the opening and closing checklists, ensuring the dining area, bar, and stations are spotless and fully stocked. • Stock Control: Perform daily/weekly inventory counts for beverages, dry goods, and operating equipment (cutlery, glassware) to minimize breakage and loss. • Cashiering: Supervise point-of-sale (POS) transactions, handle petty cash, and perform end-of-day cash-up reports. III. Team Leadership & Training • Briefings: Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to communicate specials, VIP arrivals, and service targets. • Training: Provide on-the-job coaching for servers on table etiquette, "Proper Clearing" techniques, and menu knowledge. • Performance: Monitor staff grooming standards and punctuality in accordance with company policy.
