Key Responsibilities: 1/ Cost Estimation and Budgeting: - Conducting feasibility studies to assess project viability. - Preparing detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. - Developing and managing project budgets, including cash flow projections. - Monitoring project expenditures and identifying potential cost overruns. 2/ Tendering and Procurement: - Preparing tender documents, including bills of quantities (BOQs). - Evaluating tenders and recommending contractors. - Negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors. 3/ Contract Administration: - Overseeing contractual compliance and managing variations to the original scope of work. - Ensuring all parties adhere to contract terms. - Managing payments to contractors and subcontractors. 4/ Cost Control and Value Engineering: - Monitoring project expenditures and identifying areas for cost savings. - Implementing value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising quality. 5/ Risk Management: - Identifying potential risks to project costs and timelines. - Developing strategies to mitigate risks. 6/ Compliance and Quality Control: - Ensuring projects adhere to relevant regulations, including environmental guidelines, health and safety laws, and building codes. - Monitoring the quality of materials and workmanship. 7/ Other Responsibilities: - Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. - Preparing reports and presentations on project progress and costs. - Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes. - Assisting in the development of sustainable and low-energy projects.
