Job description: Shift Technician Location: Phnom Penh BECIS develops, finances, and operates comprehensive solutions to Commercial and Industrial customers with significant presence in Thailand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and China. BECIS is currently looking for Shift Technician talented professional for BECIS Cambodia business unit and support the company’s growth in Asia. Objectives BECIS is operating biomass-to-energy plants (biomass steam boilers). Shift Technician will report to Plant Manager. The position will be based in site plant. To manage site operation, this position will work together with by Boiler Shift Leader and Wheel Loader. Job Descriptions The position holder will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all site activities related to fuel warehouse activities, boiler operation, and maintenance activities. This position will be working based on shift schedule. Key Responsibilities • Ensure plant operate smoothly without electrical instrument failure • Implement Preventive Management and Autonomous Maintenance which is assigned by Manager • Solve problem when machine breakdown especially with electrical device • Implement safety rule and internal regulation of company as compulsory • Maximize availability and minimize machine breakdown • Prepare report and implement task assigned by manager • Monitor and control electrical instrument in plant • List up all electrical instrument in plant and study O&M manual of all electrical instrument • Perform maintenance task follow by plan or any Adhoc or unplanned breakdown in comply with SOP & SMP and safety rule • Solve issue with wiring or connection / Unsafe condition of electrical in plant • Manage working tool (company asset) that needed in daily task like personal property, faithfully reporting for any lost or any breakdown of tool • Alert or verbally report in case of lacking of consumable, spare part which is low stock for repurchasing backup to prevent no stock available for use. • Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics in plant • Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Weekly equipment status review including update the condition of all electrical equipment and update to manager for future counter measure • Diagnose malfunctioning system, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. • Analyse root cause of failure and raise up preventive action plan • Monitor boiler operation and others supporting equipment to achieve plant KPI. If necessary, changing process parameters to achieve this • Handle quality control of the boiler • Report of boiler operation, including but not limited to working pressure, steam flow-rate, feed-water flow-rate, water pH and conductivity etc. • Report of other supporting equipment and safety issues for daily • Manage appropriate biomass loading into the boiler, in coordination with the wheel loader operator • Avoid any spills and ensure the cleanliness around boiler and warehouse • Ensure team’s compliance with safety regulations and procedures • Work together with maintenance team to provide problem solving and troubleshooting skills to all team members • Identify problem root causes and take effective action to resolve the problems at hand • Work together with technician to repair equipment and part during unplanned and planned shutdown • Manage site ash disposal engagement with ash handling vendor • To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all team member • Required to work in shift schedule (3-shift) Key skills/Competencies/ Experience Experience: • Having relevant experience with boiler for min. 1 year • Previous working experience in a multinational company is a benefit Competences: • Problem solving oriented • Proactive and quick response • Reliable • Strong commitment and has good accountability. • Good communication skills • Good teamwork • Initiative and quick response • Honesty and reliability Qualification • Min.
