Job Responsible: • Schedule nurses shifts • Assign nurses to patients • Ensure nursing operational standards are met • Provide reports on productivity, quality and customer service metrics • Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff to implement patient care • Maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations, and by calling for assistance from other health care professionals • Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols, and by enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing • Ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability, completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, requesting repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques • Maintains nursing supplies inventory by studying usage reports, identifying trends, anticipating needed supplies, and approving requisitions and cost allocations • Ensure all nurses follow policies and procedures • Train new team members • Evaluate nurses’ performance • Inform family members about medical procedures and doctors’ instructions • Handle complaints or other issues • Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family and friends • Keep records of nurses’ files, patients’ cases and procedures Job Requirements: • Proven work experience as a nursing supervisor • In-depth knowledge of hospital procedures • Thorough knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare • BSc or diploma in nursing; training in healthcare administration is a plus • Valid nursing license • Clinical skills • Bedside manner • Leadership and mentorship
