Job Title: Sales Engineer Company: DeScale Cambodia Location: Phnom Penh (with travel to industrial zones) Reports to: Sales Manager / Technical Director 1. Job Purpose The Sales Engineer serves as the primary technical resource for the sales team. You will be responsible for identifying mineral scaling issues in clients' industrial systems and proposing "Green Technology" solutions that improve energy efficiency and equipment longevity. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering problems and cost-effective business solutions. 2. Key Responsibilities Technical Site Audits: Visit client sites (factories, hotels, power plants) to inspect cooling towers, chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers for scale and corrosion. Solution Design: Calculate potential energy and water savings for clients based on current scale buildup and propose the appropriate DeScale products/services. Sales Presentations: Deliver technical presentations to engineers, facility managers, and C-level executives, explaining how our technology outperforms traditional acid-cleaning methods. Lead Generation & Conversion: Proactively identify new industrial and commercial projects. Manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to closing. Quotation & Proposal Management: Prepare detailed technical proposals, cost estimations, and ROI (Return on Investment) reports. After-Sales Support: Supervise the initial application of descaling products to ensure technical compliance and customer satisfaction. Market Intelligence: Stay updated on HVAC and water treatment trends in the Cambodian market and provide feedback to the product development team. 3. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in technical sales, HVAC maintenance, or industrial water treatment. Language Skills: Fluent in Khmer; Strong professional English (for technical documentation and reporting). Chinese (Mandarin) is a significant plus given the number of Chinese-run factories in Cambodia. Technical Skills: * Basic understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer. Familiarity with industrial cooling and heating systems. Ability to read technical drawings and system diagrams. Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, ability to simplify complex technical jargon for non-technical buyers, and a "problem-solver" mindset. Other: Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation. 4. Benefits & Compensation Competitive base salary + high-commission structure based on sales targets. Travel and phone allowances.
