SITE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities: • Create highly accurate and comprehensive technical drawings, including shop drawings, assembly drawings, erection plans, and detail sheets, from engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations. • Develop detailed plans for various components, ensuring all dimensions, materials, and fabrication requirements are clearly and precisely specified. • Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), part lists, and cut lists to support efficient fabrication and procurement. • Manage and track all drawing revisions, ensuring that the latest versions are used for fabrication and construction, and maintaining a complete record of all changes throughout the project lifecycle. • Read, interpret, and analyze complex engineering blueprints, technical documents, and design specifications. • Apply a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure all components are manufactured within specified tolerances. • Identify and resolve potential design discrepancies, conflicts, and missing information by communicating directly with engineers and project managers. • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators, to ensure seamless project execution. • Communicate clearly and concisely with fabrication shop personnel to address any questions or issues that arise during the manufacturing process. • Provide technical support and guidance to construction crews during the erection phase by clarifying drawings and addressing on-site challenges. • Review and verify all drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and industry-specific codes and regulations (e.g., AWS D1.1, AISC Steel Construction Manual). • Ensure all designs and drawings comply with safety regulations and best practices. • Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to minimize errors and rework. Job Requirements: • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate’s degree in computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), drafting technology, or a related field is highly preferred. • Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience as a Detailer or in a similar drafting role. • Demonstrable experience creating detailed drawings for a specific industry, such as structural steel, mechanical, or architectural. • Proven experience with shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection plans is essential. • A strong portfolio of previous work is a plus. • Expert-level proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla Structures, or Revit. • Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and its application in technical drawings. • Familiarity with industry-specific codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, AISC Steel Construction Manual). • Experience with 3D modelling and rendering is a significant advantage • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. • Chinese Speaking Preferred SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON THEIR EXPERIENCE.
