Interior Designer

Job Description (JD) The Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and managing interior spaces to meet client requirements, project specifications, budget, and timeline. The role involves concept development, technical drawings, material selection, and coordination with sales, production, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities -Design & Concept Development -Develop interior design concepts based on client briefs, functional needs, and budget. -Prepare mood boards, layouts, 3D renderings, and design presentations. -Propose creative and practical design solutions aligned with company standards. -Technical Drawings & Documentation -Prepare detailed drawings including layout plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings. -Produce BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications. -Ensure drawings comply with site conditions and construction requirements. Client Coordination -Meet clients to understand requirements and present design proposals. -Revise designs based on client feedback and approval. -Support sales or project teams during client presentations when required. -Material & Product Selection -Select suitable materials, finishes, colors, furniture, and accessories. -Coordinate with suppliers for samples, specifications, and cost alignment. -Ensure selected materials meet quality and budget requirements. Project & Site Coordination -Coordinate with production, purchasing, and installation teams. -Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation matches approved drawings. -Resolve design-related issues during fabrication and installation. Quality & Compliance -Ensure design output meets company standards and project requirements. -Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings. -Follow company policies, safety rules, and project procedures. Other Duties -Support design manager or project team as assigned. -Stay updated on design trends, materials, and industry standards. Job Requirements (JR) Education -Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Experience -Minimum 1–3 years of experience in interior design (residential, commercial, or fit-out projects). -Experience in kitchen cabinets, built-in furniture, or construction projects is an advantage. Skills & Competencies -Proficient in design software: -AutoCAD (required) -SketchUp, 3Ds Max, Lumion, V-Ray, or similar (preferred) -Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator (advantage) -Strong understanding of space planning, materials, and finishes. -Ability to prepare accurate drawings and design documentation. -Good communication and presentation skills. -Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects. -Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Personal Attributes -Creative, proactive, and well-organized. -Team player with the ability to work independently. -Willing to visit project sites and coordinate with different departments. -Professional attitude and good time management. Language -Khmer and English communication skills (spoken and written). -Chinese is an advantage (optional).
