Purchasing Officer

We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to oversee the procurement of raw materials and packaging for our food processing operations. The ideal candidate will manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery to support production needs. Key Responsibilities: - Supplier Management: Identify and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials and packaging, ensuring quality and delivery timelines. - Procurement: Analyze inventory needs, prepare purchase orders, and collaborate with production teams to forecast material requirements. - Cost Management: Monitor budgets, seek cost-saving opportunities, and manage supplier performance. - Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases and ensure compliance with food industry regulations. - Collaboration: Work with production and quality control teams to meet safety and quality standards. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Food Science, or related field. - Experience in purchasing, preferably in food processing or packaging. - Strong negotiation and analytical skills. - Knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus.
