1. ๐ฏ Job Summary The Purchase & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall procurement, inventory control, and logistics operations. This role ensures that materials, goods, and services are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and streamlined distribution processes. 2. ๐ Key Responsibilities A. Procurement & Sourcing Develop and implement purchasing strategies to minimize costs and ensure product quality and availability. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, terms of agreement, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value. Manage the full Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including creating, issuing, and managing Purchase Orders (POs). Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective action plans as needed. B. Logistics & Distribution Plan, manage, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance. Optimize shipping routes and modes (road, air, sea) to improve transit times and reduce freight costs. Ensure compliance with national and international shipping regulations and customs requirements. Coordinate with internal sales and production teams to forecast delivery needs and ensure on-time delivery to customers. C. Inventory Management Oversee and manage physical inventory counts and cycle counts. Implement effective inventory control measures to prevent stock-outs, minimize obsolescence, and maintain accurate inventory records. Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or similar systems to determine required quantities and timing of purchases. D. Budgeting & Reporting Develop and manage the procurement and logistics budget. Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, on-time delivery (OTD), and inventory accuracy. Analyze market and delivery systems to recommend process and cost improvements. 3. ๐ Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Proven minimum of [X] years of experience in a Procurement/Purchasing and Logistics role, with [Y] years in a managerial capacity. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Proficiency in contract negotiation and vendor management. In-depth understanding of domestic and international shipping procedures and import/export regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma.
