Position: Accounting Manager Location: Hotel Montra Nivesha Department: Finance & Accounting Reports to: Group Financial Manager / Central Office Finance 1. Job Purpose The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations of Hotel Montra Nivesha. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with company policies and local regulations, effective cost control, and proper supervision of the hotel accounting team. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Financial Management & Reporting - Manage daily accounting operations including AR, AP, General Ledger, cash, and bank reconciliation - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports accurately and on time - Ensure proper recording of all hotel revenues and expenses - Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes - Support Group Financial Manager with financial analysis and reporting B. Budgeting & Cost Control - Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for the hotel - Monitor actual performance against budget and explain variances - Control operational costs and ensure expenses are within appro-ved budgets - Work closely with operations departments to improve cost efficiency C. Compliance & Internal Control - Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local tax -regulations - Prepare and submit tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, etc.) as required - Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets - Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation D. Team Management - Supervise and guide hotel accountants (2 positions) - Review work accuracy, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations - Ensure team follows standard accounting procedures and deadlines - Develop accounting staff skills and promote teamwork E. Coordination & Communication - Coordinate with Central Office Finance on reporting, audits, and policies - Work closely with Hotel Management, Purchasing, and Operations departments - Provide financial information to management for decision-making 3. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in hotel or hospitality industry - At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting - Knowledge in Quickbook or/and other software accounting. - Experience with hotel accounting systems is an advantage 4.
