1. Ensure efficient provision of reception to hotel guest. 2. Co-ordinate with Assistant manager in assigning rooms for VIPs and pre-registered guest. 3. Check in and escort VIP guests courteously and efficiently. 4. Co-ordinate checks in of special categories of guest i.e. repeated guests, according to established policy. 5. Assist guest’s in-person repeated reservations & perform LYP’s Group reservations for in-house guests. 6. Follow up on special checkout procedures for VIP guests, such as arrange hotel-airport limousine service, reconfirm airline ticket, co-ordinate with Concierge and Business Centre for arrangement of Airport Representative to ensure VIP receives airport departure service and bid farewell to VIP departure. 7. Handle express check out when required. 8. Assist in maintaining the free flow for guest in the lobby by helping out guest with their check in when situation required. 9. Co-ordinate with Duty Manager to follow up with sending amenities to guests who are sick or in hospital. 10. Be helpful in assist guest to book into other hotels if necessary. 11. Develop friendly conversation with guests. Obtain feedback form them and reflect to the Department concerned. 12. Take initiative to prevent and / or solve disputes between guests/staff and report irregularities to Front Office manager when needed. 13. Escort guests for hotel tour. 14. Provide information services & give out correct information to guests when approached. 15. Give out information on local tourist attractions, hotel facilities, transportation arrangement and restaurant reservations. 16. Ensure day-to-day operational efficiency by assisting the Duty Manager in their daily routine. 17. Log down complaints and irregularities and take necessary corrective actions. 18. Give a helping hand to Reception and Cashier Desk if situation requires. 19. Order guest amenities to expected arrival guests, in-house guest birthday, long staying guests and outside orders for in-house guests. 20. Update the VIP guest history record. 21. To be fully aware of all emergency procedures and hotel rules & regulations 22. To promote sales of special in-house functions. 23. Attend regular departmental meetings 24. Ensure that Duty Manager’s desk is kept in a clean and organized manner of all times. 25. To be fully familiarized with the mail/message/telex/parcel procedures. 26. To perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager / Front Officer Manager / Duty Manager.
