Insurance Field Surveyor Manager

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Supervision Manage, mentor, and coordinate a team of field surveyors. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met. Conduct regular training and development programs for survey staff. Claims & Risk Assessment Oversight Review and validate field survey reports submitted by surveyors. Ensure assessments of property, vehicles, or businesses are accurate and compliant with policy terms. Provide expert guidance in complex or high-value claims. Process Improvement & Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain field survey procedures and best practices. Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements. Client & Stakeholder Management Liaise with clients, brokers, repair vendors, and internal departments professionally. Address escalated client concerns or disputes regarding field assessments. Represent the company in inspections and surveys for high-profile or sensitive cases. Reporting & Analytics Prepare regular management reports on survey activities, trends, and claims observations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the survey team. Provide insights to support underwriting, claims, and risk management decisions. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance field surveying or claims management. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and regulatory compliance. Excellent analytical, reporting, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in MS Office and field survey/reporting software. Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel for field inspections. Competencies: Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a team effectively. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Professional and ethical approach in handling sensitive claims. Working Conditions: Combination of office work and field visits. Travel required to client locations, accident sites, or inspection sites. Occasional extended hours during high-volume claims periods.
